Toolbars
I have built several different toolbars for Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox; all toolbars included easy-to-use, one-click installers so that they may be deployed easily via any website or distribution platform. Below are a small fraction of the features I have integrated in several of these toolbars.
Standard Features
- Vista-like glass effects on toolbars and buttons
- Customized button layouts and functionality. All buttons are dynamic and can be changed based on the URL being visited or content of a page
- Search engine boxes with custom search query strings, also includes drop-down history and history clearing capabilities
- Customized, dynamic labels that can changed based on the URL being visited or content of a page
Advanced Implementations
- Automatic update functionality
- Metric gathering and reporting
- Web browser search engine provider changes and other "default" changes
- Ability to seamlessly change and replace page content: images, text, etc.
- User redirection capabilities
- The ability to dynamically query a site for the content of the toolbar, including: buttons, menus, funcionality
- Windows Media screen recording and uploading for user interaction research
